My first time installing Bukkit, so I hope you'll understand the bit of fumbling around. The process is much simpler than everybody makes it out to be. This was done on Linux; procedure will be similar on Win and Mac. Watch video in HD if you need to see what I clicked on or what I typed, though it is a very straight-forward process. 1. Download Bukkit and Craftbukkit from the wiki: www.bukkit.org 2. Rename both to plain names. 3. Execute Craftbukkit. 4. Enjoy. Metacity lacking window matching is not a bad thing — Metacity is a lean window manager, and window matching does not have to be a window manager task. Devil's Pie can be configured to detect windows as they are created, and match the window to a set of rules. If the window matches the rules, it can perform a series of actions on that window. For example, I can make all windows created by X-Chat appear on all workspaces, and the main Gkrellm1 window does not appear in the pager or task list.

A video that showcases Arabic text rendering in some of the applications in Linux Ubuntu. I used Ubuntu Sabily here, an Islamic Ubuntu. The Ubuntu version in the video is 9.10. Ubuntu 10.04 is already out (excellent distro), but the new Sabily is still pending. For those who may ask, the music in the background is a form of Andalusian Muwashahat from Libya called Malouf (traditional music). The musical group is lead by Hassan Araybi who sadly died recently.
